Baby and two adults taken to hospital after being mauled by dog in horror attack

A BABY and two adults have been rushed to hospital after being mauled by a dog in a horror attack.
Armed cops and an air ambulance were scrambled to a residential area in Denton, Manchester, this evening.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “We were called to Baslow Road, Denton, at around 5:50pm today to reports that several people had been attacked by a dog.
“Three people, a one-year-old child and two adults, are in hospital being treated for their injuries.”
An air ambulance helicopter landed on the nearby green earlier this evening following the incident.
Rapid response vehicles from the North West Air Ambulance were also in attendance.
The GMP dog unit vehicles have now left the scene and the cordon has now been reduced.
Specialist dog handlers were seen leading a large dog into a police van following the reported attack.
The conditions of those involved have not yet been disclosed by police but a large emergency services presence remains at the scene.
Children and families could be seen watching from behind the cordon while police carried out their work.
The incident comes after a four-year-old boy was recently rushed to hospital after being mauled by a dog on the street in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire.
He suffered serious injuries to his leg and face and a Pocket Bully and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier type dog were seized by cops.
And just a few weeks ago, two toddlers were left seriously injured after being attacked by a dog near Liverpool.
The two-year-old girl and three-year-old boy were injured inside a property in Prescot, Merseyside.
Both were taken to hospital and the dog was seized.
