Dunelm shoppers rush to buy sofas scanning for 90% less as customer shows off gorgeous £499 seater bagged for just £49

DUNELM shoppers are rushing to buy gorgeous pieces of furniture on clearance for 90 per cent off.
One excited customer managed to get her hands on a sofa for just £49.90 instead of £499 from the furnishings retailer.
The bargain buy was shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, heavily discounted due to the real left leg not being fixed in.
The shopper wrote on her post: “Back leg comes out but nothing a bit of glue won’t help!
“Absolutely nothing else wrong with it either”.
What a bargain
She added how “proper chuffed” she was with the “fantastic bargain” which was found in the Dunelm clearance section.
Other members of the Facebook group were impressed by the find too.
One wrote in the comments: “Wow that’s amazing and really nice to.”
Another added: “Now that’s what I call a bargain.”
A third commented: “I think that’s the best I’ve seen on here so far! Nice one.”
Save on furniture at Dunelm
The seater was part of Dunelm’s “Not so great condition, still fantastic value” section.
It is a section in the retailer’s outlet stores that aims to provide bargains to customers for slightly damaged finds, or upcycling projects, at lower prices.
These include ex-display furniture, nearly-new items with minor imperfections and recent returns.
It’s important to get in quick for these finds as they have limited availability.
How to bag a bargain
SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…
Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.
Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.
Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.
Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.
Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.
When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.
Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.
Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.
And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
